RexaDB is a desktop database studio built for developers and teams who work across multiple databases daily. It connects to 100+ databases via JDBC, covering relational engines like PostgreSQL, MySQL, and SQLite alongside NoSQL options like MongoDB. The pitch is simple: sign in and start querying, without a long setup ritual.

The SQL editor is built for speed. Multi-tab editing lets you keep several queries open at once, autocomplete cuts down on typing, and EXPLAIN plans surface performance issues without leaving the editor. Query history persists across sessions, so you're not re-writing something you ran last Tuesday.

The data browser lets you filter, sort, and edit rows inline. It's designed to keep context intact while you inspect data, rather than bouncing between views.

Key capabilities:

  • AI agent: describe what you want in plain English, and the agent reads your schema, writes the SQL, and shows its reasoning before running anything
  • Visual schema: ER diagrams that stay in sync with your live database, similar to what you'd get from a dedicated tool like drawDB
  • Tagged tables: group tables with custom tags to cut through large schemas fast
  • Dashboards: build interactive charts directly from live queries, without exporting data elsewhere
  • Multi-tab SQL: autocomplete, profiling, and persistent history in one editor

RexaDB sits in the same space as Beekeeper Studio and tools like TablePlus, but leans into AI-assisted querying as a first-class feature rather than an add-on. The AI agent is schema-aware, which means it generates SQL that actually fits your data model rather than generic boilerplate.

It's free, backed by sponsors, and aimed at teams who want one studio that covers their whole stack without switching tools per database.
