Budget Board

This is a budgeting app for people who want to see where their money goes each month and work toward specific goals. It keeps accounts, assets and spending in one place, and it's a fit for anyone looking at budgeting apps or an alternative to Monarch Money or Copilot Money.

• Accounts and assets: track checking, savings and credit cards alongside property and valuables.
• Budgets: set monthly limits per category and compare spending against them.
• Goals: follow progress on targets like saving for a house or paying off debt.
• Trends charts: filter by date range, account and category.

Getting data in is flexible. You can import transactions in bulk from CSV files, or connect financial institutions through SimpleFIN and LunchFlow for automatic syncing. Once transactions arrive, automatic rules update them based on description, amount or date. You can also train a machine learning model on your own transactions so it predicts categories for new ones.

Sign-in works locally with two-factor authentication, or you can bring your own OIDC provider. The interface is available in English, German, French and Simplified Chinese, and dates and numbers follow the selected locale.

It's deliberately simple. Dashboard, accounts, transactions, budgets, goals, assets and trends each get their own view, so there's little to learn before you start tracking.
