Chobble Tickets is event ticketing software built around a simple pricing model: pay for hosting, not for each sale. At £50 a year or £5 a month, you get every feature, unlimited events, and zero platform commission. Ticket revenue goes straight to your Stripe, Square, or SumUp account.

It covers the full booking process from listing to check-in. You can create fixed-date, repeating, or multi-day events, each with its own capacity, pricing, booking window, custom questions, and terms. Staff can check in attendees via QR code, reverse a check-in, issue refunds, email attendee groups, and export financial or operational data. An activity log tracks every admin action.

Pricing flexibility goes well beyond a basic ticket form:

  • Ticket types: fixed-price, free, or pay-what-you-want; group types, packages, and linked extras
  • Promotions: promo codes, automatic price rules, returning-customer discounts, and stock-limited offers
  • Deposits: take partial payment at booking, then send the buyer a link to pay the balance
  • Capacity rules: set limits per date, block holidays, and price hire durations individually
  • Payment integrity: capacity and pricing are verified at payment confirmation, not at checkout; orders that can't be honoured are automatically refunded
  • Role-based access: owners, managers, editors, and logistics staff each have separate accounts with appropriate permissions
  • Data privacy: personal data is encrypted in the database, retention controls remove old records, and attendee data isn't used for advertising

Each account includes a public-facing website for listings and content pages, with support for a custom domain and editable colours, images, and email templates. An iframe option lets you embed booking pages inside an existing site, and an order widget can turn links into add-to-cart buttons.

The software is published under AGPL-3.0-only, so technical teams can self-host it on their own infrastructure at no licence cost. Managed hosting and self-hosted installs run identical code. As a direct Eventbrite alternative, the pricing difference is stark: one organiser reported saving over £187 on a single event after switching. Chobble Tickets doesn't offer a discovery marketplace, reserved seating, or an organiser mobile app, and the site is upfront about when a competing platform might be a better fit.
