FeedLog is a self-hosted feedback management tool built for SaaS teams, startups, and indie developers who want full control over their data without paying per seat or per tracked user. It covers the complete feedback loop: collecting requests, prioritizing them on a roadmap, and publishing changelogs, all from a single platform.

The AI features are what separate it from tools like Fider or ClearFlask. Two capabilities stand out:

  • Semantic merge detects similar or duplicate requests and groups them automatically, so votes don't get split across identical tickets and your team sees the real demand signal.
  • Changelog AI assistant lets you pick the tickets you shipped, choose a writing style, and generate release notes in one step. No copy-pasting from a task tracker.

Both AI features are optional. The core boards, voting, and roadmap work without an OpenAI key.

The rest of the feature set is solid:

  • Feedback boards support voting, comments, images, and rich text formatting.
  • Interactive roadmap connects requests to plans so users can see what's coming.
  • Standalone changelog links shipped features back to the original requests and notifies supporters when their ideas ship.
  • Embeddable widget works with React, Vue, Svelte, or plain HTML, so you can surface feedback collection inside your product.

Deployment targets include Cloudflare Workers, Vercel, and Docker. You bring your own Postgres database, which means your user emails, votes, and roadmap data never touch a third-party pipeline. No silent telemetry. The MIT license means you can fork and modify freely.

Compared to Featurebase or Canny, FeedLog has no tracked-user limits, no per-admin pricing, and no paid AI tier. The hosted version is free and takes about 30 seconds to set up. Self-hosted removes every artificial cap entirely.
