BrightBean Studio is a social media management tool that lets you schedule, publish, and measure content across 11 platforms without paying anything. It's a direct alternative to tools like Sendible or SocialPilot that charge $200+ per month, and it covers the same ground: multi-channel scheduling, team collaboration, and analytics, all in one place.

The core workflow runs across four areas:

  • Calendar with month, week, and list views. Posts show color-coded status badges (draft, scheduled, published, failed) and you can drag them to new dates when plans change.
  • Composer that writes once and adjusts per channel. Caption overrides let you tailor copy for each network, and a live preview pane shows how the post will render before it goes out.
  • Ideation board built as a Kanban with columns for Unassigned, To Do, In Progress, and Done. One click turns an idea card into a scheduled post.
  • Analytics that track views, watch time, likes, comments, and shares across all connected channels, with 7, 30, and 90-day comparison windows built in.

Connected platforms include Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, LinkedIn, Pinterest, Facebook, Threads, Bluesky, Mastodon, Google Business Profile, and DEV.to. All connections go through each platform's first-party API directly.

There's also an agentic scheduling layer: you can prompt Claude, ChatGPT, or Codex to draft and schedule posts across every connected account in one instruction.

No per-seat pricing. No per-channel limits. The hosted version is free with no credit card required. Self-hosting works via Docker, Heroku, Render, or Railway. The source is AGPL-3.0 licensed on GitHub, so you own your data and can fork or extend it freely. Compared to tools like Mixpost or Postiz, BrightBean Studio adds a fully managed hosted option at no cost, which removes the barrier for teams that don't want to run their own infrastructure.
